Chocolate Carmelita Bars
Ingredients
- 1 34 c oats uncooked regular or old-fashioned
- 1 12 c all-purpose flour
- 34 c brown sugar packed
- 34 c Crisco melted
- 1 Tbsp water
- 12 tsp baking soda
- 14 tsp salt
- 1 c chopped nuts
- 1 c semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1 125 oz jar caramel ice cream topping
- 14 c all-purpose flour
Directions
- Heat oven to 350
- Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan
- Combine first seven ingredients mix well
- Reserve one cup press remaining on bottom of prepared pan
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown cool 10 minutes
- Top with nuts and chocolate pieces
