Chocolate Chip CookiesLow-Fat

Ingredients

  • 3 egg whites room temperature
  • 14 tsp cream of tartar or 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 34 c sugar
  • 14 c mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Beat egg whites in mixer bowl until soft peaks form
  2. Add cream of tartar and vanilla and beat until stiff peaks form
  3. Add sugar 2 tablespoons at a time beating after each addition
  4. Fold in chocolate chips
  5. Drop mixture by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 250 for 20 to 25 minutes or until pale cream in color
  6. Outside will be slightly soft
  7. Makes 36 cookies
