Chocolate Date Truffles
Ingredients
- 34 c slivered almonds
- 2 sq semi-sweet chocolate
- 14 c butter or margarine
- 14 c sugar
- 12 c chopped dates
- 1 Tbsp brandy flavoring
Directions
- Grind 14 cup almonds in blender Toast remaining almonds and chop finely
- Melt chocolate with butter in saucepan over low heat stirring constantly
- Stir in ground almonds sugar and flavoring
- Add dates chill until firm stirring occasionally 1 to 2 hours
- Shape into 34-inch balls
- Roll balls in toasted almonds
- Store covered in refrigerator
