Chocolate Icebox Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 medium size angel food cake
  • 1 6 oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 c whipping cream

Directions

  1. Cut angel food cake into three layers
  2. Melt chocolate beat egg yolks lightly
  3. Whip egg whites until stiff adding sugar beaten egg yolks and melted chocolate
  4. Slowly add vanilla
  5. Whip the cream into peaks
  6. Spoon a layer of chocolate and then a layer of cream between each layer of cake
  7. Wrap cake in wax paper and put in refrigerator for several hours before using
