Chocolate Nut Upside-Down Cake
Ingredients
- 10 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 14 c firmly packed light brown sugar
- 23 c light corn syrup
- 14 c heavy cream
- 1 c broken walnuts
- 1 34 c sifted cake flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 14 tsp salt
- 1 12 c granulated sugar
- 2 eggs separated
- 3 sq unsweetened chocolate melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 c milk
Directions
- Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in small saucepan stir in brown sugar
- Heat until bubbly
- Stir in corn syrup and cream
- Heat stirring constantly just to boiling
- Add nuts
- Pour into generously buttered 10-inch 12-cup Bundt pan
- Put aside
