Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars

Ingredients

• 3 c unsifted flour
• 2 c sugar divided
• 1 c butter or margarine softened
• 12 tsp salt
• 1 12 c Karo light or dark corn syrup
• 6 sq 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate or 1 12 6 oz pkg sweet chocolate
• 4 eggs slightly beaten
• 1 12 tsp vanilla
• 2 12 c chopped pecans

Directions

1. Crust
2. Grease bottom and sides of a 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan
3. Be certain sides of baking pan are 1-inch high
4. In large bowl with mixer at medium speed beat flour 12 cup sugar butter and salt until mixture resembles coarse crumbs press firmly and evenly into pan
5. Bake in a 350 oven for 20 minutes
