Chocolate Pound Cake

Ingredients
- 2 34 c sifted flour
- 34 tsp cream of tartar
- 12 tsp baking soda
- 1 12 tsp salt
- 1 34 c sugar
- 1 c soft margarine
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 sq chocolate melted
- powdered sugar
- 23 c milk
- 34 c nuts optional
Directions
- Sift first 5 ingredients together in a bowl and drop in shortening adding milk and vanilla and mixing on low speed for 2 minutes
- Add eggs and chocolate beat 1 minute
- Turn into a 9-inch tube pan and bake in 350 oven for 1 hour 10 minutes
- Just before serving spoon powdered sugar into top of cake
