Chocolate Praline Cake
Ingredients
- 12 c butter
- 2 c whipping cream
- 1 c firmly packed brown sugar
- 34 c coarsely chopped pecans
- 1 18 14 oz pkg devils food cake mix with pudding
- 1 14 c water
- 13 c oil
- 3 eggs
- 14 c confectioners sugar
- 14 tsp vanilla
- whole pecans for garnish optional
- chocolate curls for garnish optional
Directions
- Heat oven to 325
- In a small heavy saucepan combine butter 14 cup whipping cream and the brown sugar
- Cook over low heat just until butter melts stirring occasionally
- Divide mixture between two 9-inch round cake pans
- Sprinkle each evenly with chopped pecans
