Chocolate Sour Cream Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 1 12 c butter or margarine softened
- 3 c sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c all-purpose flour
- 12 c cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 8 oz sour cream
- 1 c boiling water
- 2 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Cream butter gradually adding sugar
- Beat eggs in creamed mixture one at a time
- Combine flour cocoa soda and salt
- Add alternately the dry ingredients and sour cream to creamed mixture mixing well after each addition
- Add boiling water and vanilla Mix well
- Bake in a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan at 325 for 1 hour and 20 minutes
- Check after 70 minutes with toothpick ovens may vary
- Do not overbake
- Cool for 15 minutes
