Chocolate Squares

Ingredients

  • 50 caramels 14 oz
  • 23 c evaporated milk
  • 1 pkg German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 c chocolate chips
  • 34 c melted margarine
  • 1 c chopped nuts

Directions

  1. Melt caramels in 13 cup evaporated milk and set aside
  2. Mix all other ingredients except chocolate chips together and press half the batter in greased 9 x 13-inch cake pan
  3. Bake at 350 for 6 minutes
  4. Take from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips Then cover with caramel mixture
  5. Put remaining batter over caramel mixture by spoonfuls
  6. Bake for 18 minutes
