Chocolate Upside-Down Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 12 c chopped pecans
  • 1 12 c coconut
  • 1 2 layer pkg German chocolate or Swiss chocolate cake mix
  • 1 c or 2 sticks margarine
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 16 oz pkg confectioners sugar

Directions

  1. Sprinkle pecans and coconut in buttered 9 x 13-inch pan Prepare cake mix as per package directions
  2. Spoon over nuts and coconut
  3. Combine remaining ingredients in mixer bowl until smooth
  4. Spoon evenly over cake leaving 1-inch edge
  5. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes
  6. Cream cheese mixture will sink to bottom to form frosting
  7. Cool in pan
  8. Cut into squares
  9. Makes 16 servings
