Chop Suey
Ingredients
- 1 lb pork tenderloin cut in thin strips
- 12 c sliced onion
- 1 c celery sliced thin
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 16 oz can bean sprouts
- 1 5 oz can water chestnuts sliced
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 14 c water
- 2 Tbsp oil
Directions
- Cook pork in hot oil until brown
- Add onion celery and green pepper
- Cook 4 to 5 minutes
- Combine cornstarch with a little water then stir in remaining water and bouillon cube
- Add to vegetable mixture
- Cook until just thick
- Add bean sprouts water chestnuts and soy sauce
- Heat
- Serve with rice
- Garnish with toasted almonds if desired
