Chowder
Ingredients
- 12 gal water
- 1 hen
- 2 lb beef
- 14 lb bacon
- 5 c onions
- 5 c carrots
- 5 c cabbage
- 2 12 c green beans
- 10 c tomatoes
- 8 c potatoes
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 3 Tbsp salt
- 2 tsp pepper
- 5 c corn
Directions
- Cook hen beef and bacon in 12 gallon of water for 2 hours Then add onions carrots cabbage green beans and tomatoes
- Cook 1 12 hours
- Then add potatoes sugar salt and pepper
- Cook 1 12 hours
- Then add corn and cook at least 15 minutes
- Makes 2 12 to 3 gallons
- It sticks very easily so cook over low heat and stir often
