Christmas Bread Wreath

Ingredients

  • 2 c powdered sugar
  • 12 tsp almond flavoring
  • milk small amount
  • nut halves
  • candied cherries both red and green

Directions

  1. Place defrosted bread in oiled bowl and cover with tea towel Let rise in warm place 3 to 4 hours
  2. Punch down do not knead Stretch onto an oiled cookie sheet to approximately 8 12 x 12-inch rectangle
  3. Spread with soft butter or oleo
  4. Sprinkle with brown sugar white sugar cinnamon raisins ground nuts and candied fruits
  5. Roll like a jelly roll
  6. Wet hands and pinch ends together securely making a large ring
  7. Cut with scissors every 12-inch around the ring
  8. Using hands twist each section to lay flatter and hide the cookie sheet
  9. Let rise until almost double in warm place
  10. Bake 12 hour at 350 until lightly browned
