Christmas Jam

Ingredients

  • 2 20 oz each pkg frozen whole strawberries or 2 12 qt fresh strawberries
  • 1 lb fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 5 lb sugar
  • 2 3 oz each pouches liquid fruit pectin

Directions

  1. Grind strawberries and cranberries in a food processor or grinder
  2. Place in a large kettle
  3. Add sugar
  4. Bring to a full rolling boil
  5. Boil for 1 minute
  6. Remove from heat
  7. Add pectin Cool for 5 minutes
  8. Skim off foam
  9. Pour hot into hot jars leaving 14-inch headspace
  10. Adjust caps
  11. Process for 15 minutes in a boiling water bath
  12. Yields about 14 half pints
