Christmas Plum Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 12 c seedless raisins
- 1 12 c currants
- 12 c chopped nutmeats
- 1 c sifted flour
- 2 eggs beaten
- 34 c molasses
- 34 c buttermilk
- 12 c finely chopped suet
- 14 c fruit juice
- 1 c fine bread crumbs
- 34 tsp soda
- 14 tsp cloves
- 14 tsp allspice
- 14 tsp cinnamon
- 14 tsp nutmeg
- 34 tsp salt
Directions
- Combine raisins currants nutmeats and 12 cup flour Combine eggs molasses buttermilk suet and fruit juice
- Combine remaining flour bread crumbs soda spice and salt
- Pour into 1 12-quart mold
- Cover mold set in deep kettle
- Add water to 1-inch below cover of mold
- Cover and steam 2 hours
