Christmas Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 c ground suet
  • 1 c molasses
  • 1 c milk
  • 3 12 c flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 14 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 34 tsp cloves
  • 1 c raisins
  • 12 c currants
  • 12 c finely chopped citron

Directions

  1. Combine suet molasses and milk
  2. Sift flour
  3. Measure Reserve 14 cup for dredging the fruits
  4. Sift remainder of flour with salt spices cream of tartar and baking soda
  5. Combine with first mixture
  6. Add dredged fruits
  7. Mix thoroughly
  8. Fill well oiled 1 pound pan 23 full
  9. Cover
  10. Steam 3 hours
  11. Serve hot with any desired pudding sauce
  12. Makes 12 servings
