Christmas Rum Balls

Ingredients

  • 3 c finely chopped vanilla wafers
  • 1 c confectioners sugar
  • 3 Tbsp cocoa
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 12 c light corn syrup
  • 1 c chopped pecans fine
  • 12 c rum

Directions

  1. Combine wafers and next three ingredients
  2. Mix in pecans syrup and rum
  3. Blend well
  4. Dust hands with sugar and shape dough into 1-inch balls
  5. Press pecans in top of each ball
  6. Let stand for 1 hour then roll in sugar
  7. Store in tightly closed jar for 3 days
  8. Makes 5 dozen
