Cinnamon Twist

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 18 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 dry yeast- let rise in 12 cup warm water for 15 minutes
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp shortening
  • 3 cups flour

Directions

  1. Mix and put on a board and roll to an oblong shape
  2. Melt butter and spread over dough
  3. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over half of the dough
  4. Fold over other half and pat thin
  5. Cut into 12 inch strips and twist Let rise 1 hour and bake in 375 degrees till light brown This makes 24 twist
  6. May be frosted with powdered sugar frosting
