Cinnamon Twists

Ingredients
- 1 c. sour cream
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/8 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 large unbeaten egg
- 1 cake crumbled, compressed yeast or 1 pkg. dry yeast *
- 3 c. flour
Directions
- Bring sour cream to a boil and remove from heat.
- Stir in, until well blended, the shortening, sugar, soda and salt.
- Cool to lukewarm.
- Add egg and yeast.
- Stir until yeast is dissolved.
- Mix in the flour with spoon.
