Civil War Cake Or Grandmama Pound Cake

Ingredients

• 12 eggs
• 1 lb butter creamed
• 1 lb sugar 2 12 c
• 1 lb flour
• 1 nutmeg grated

Directions

1. Beat egg yolks separately
2. Add butter and sugar
3. Add flour and nutmeg
4. Fold in beaten egg whites
5. Bake at 350 until a knife comes out clean
