Classic Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- 34 c Hersheys cocoa
- 23 c boiling water
- 34 c butter or margarine softened
- 2 c sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 c unsifted cake flour
- 1 14 tsp baking soda
- 14 tsp salt
- 34 c buttermilk or sour milk
Directions
- Stir together cocoa and boiling water in small bowl until smooth set aside
- Cream butter sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl
- Blend in eggs
- Combine flour soda and salt
- Add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture
- Blend in reserved cocoa mixture
