Coconut-Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Ingredients
- 12 c softened butter or margarine
- 12 c shortening
- 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese softened
- 3 c sugar
- 3 c all-purpose flour
- 14 tsp baking soda
- 14 tsp salt
- 1 16 oz pkg frozen coconut thawed
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp coconut flavoring
Directions
- Cream
- buttershortening and cream cheese
- Gradually add sugar

- well at medium speed
- Add eggs one at a time beating
- after
- each addition
- Combine flour and soda Add salt Add
- to creamed mixture stirring just until blended
- Stir
- in coconut and remaining ingredientsPour batter into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan
- Bake at 325 for 1 12 hours
- Cool in pan 10 to 15 minutes
- Remove from pan and let cool completely on a wire rack
