Coconut Cream Pie
Ingredients
- 1 c sugar
- 4 Tbsp flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 c milk
- 34 c coconut
- 14 tsp salt
- 3 egg yolks beaten
- 14 stick butter or margarine
- 12 tsp coconut flavoring
- 1 baked pie shell
Directions
- Mix sugar flour and salt together
- Add all remaining ingredients except coconut
- Mix well
- Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens stirring with wire whip to prevent sticking
- Add coconut and pour into pie shell
- Top with meringue
