Coconut Cream Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 c coconut
  • 4 heaping Tbsp flour or cornstarch
  • 4 egg yolks beaten
  • 2 c milk
  • 12 stick margarine
  • 5 tsp sugar
  • 4 egg whites
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Mix 1 cup sugar flour milk and egg yolks cook on medium heat until thick
  2. Then add coconut margarine and vanilla
  3. Cook 2 more minutes stirring constantly
  4. Let cool then pour in baked pie shell
  5. Beat egg whites until stiff
  6. Add 5 teaspoons sugar Spread on top of pie and sprinkle with coconut
  7. Brown
