Coconut Mist Cake

Ingredients
- 3 c sifted cake flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 c butter
- 1 lb box powdered sugar
- 4 egg yolks well beaten
- 1 c milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 c flaked coconut
- 4 egg whites stiffly beaten
Directions
- Sift flour once measure and add baking powder and salt
- Sift together 3 times
- Cream butter thoroughly
- Add sugar gradually and fluffy
- Add egg yolks and beat well
- Add flour alternately with milk a small amount at a time beating after each addition Add vanilla and coconut
- Fold in egg whites frequently and thoroughly
- Bake in 3 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans at 375 for 25 to 30 minutes
- Cool and frost
