Coconut Pecan Topping

Ingredients

  • 23 c sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 12 tsp vanilla
  • 1 13 c flaked coconut
  • 23 c evaporated milk
  • 13 c margarine
  • 1 c chopped pecans

Directions

  1. In medium saucepan combine sugar milk egg yolks and margarine
  2. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil
  3. Remove from heat
  4. Stir in coconut pecans and vanilla Cool 15 minutes and spread on top layers of German chocolate cake
