Codfish Cakes

Ingredients
- 3 lb boneless codfish
- 1 12 Tbsp shortening
- 1 medium sized onion diced
- 12 tsp hot pepper
- 2 cloves garlic diced
- 12 c water
- 2 c flour
- 3 eggs
Directions
- Soak codfish overnight
- Drain off water
- Run through meat grinder or chop in food processor with onion and garlic
- When done mix together with eggs flour and other ingredients
- Drop by spoon into shortening or any cooking oil
- Fry until golden brown
