Cold Oven Lemon Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 sticks and 1 Tbsp butter
  • 3 c sugar
  • 3 12 c flour
  • 1 c milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 5 eggs add 1 at a time
  • 2 tsp lemon flavoring

Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  2. Add flour and baking powder alternately with milk
  3. End with milk
  4. Add in eggs one at a time
  5. Stir in lemon flavoring
  6. Place in a cold oven Set oven at 350 and bake 1 hour and 20 minutes
  7. Do not open oven at any time before baking is completed
