Congo Squares

Ingredients

  • 2 34 c flour
  • 2 12 tsp baking powder
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 23 c butter
  • 1 lb box brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c broken nuts
  • 1 12 oz pkg chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Sift flour baking powder and salt
  2. Melt butter and sugar Cool slightly
  3. Add eggs one at a time
  4. Beat well
  5. Add dry ingredients nuts and chocolate chips
  6. Bake in a 9 x 12-inch greased and floured pan at 350 about 25 to 30 minutes
  7. Cut when almost cooled
