Cooked Fudge Icing

Ingredients

• 3 c sugar
• 6 Tbsp cocoa
• pinch of salt and soda
• 2 Tbsp shortening
• 1 c evaporated milk
• 1 12 sticks butter

Directions

1. Mix all ingredients except butter
2. Cook until firm ball forms when dropped into cold water
3. Remove from heat
4. Add butter Beat until spreading consistency
5. Frost 3 layers or 1 pound cake
