Corn Bread Dressing100 Years Old

Ingredients

  • 3 12 c corn bread crumbs
  • 3 12 c crumbled biscuits
  • 14 c butter
  • 3 Tbsp minced onion
  • 1 c chopped celery
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 12 tsp pepper
  • 12 tsp savory
  • 2 to 3 tsp sage
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 12 c milk
  • 2 c hot chicken broth or more if needed

Directions

  1. Mix bread and biscuits in a large pan or bowl
  2. Melt butter and lightly saute onion and celery
  3. Add to crumb mixture
  4. Add remaining ingredients and mix well
  5. Bake in well-greased shallow pans in a 400 oven for 15 to 25 minutes
