Corn Bread Dressing100 Years Old
Ingredients
- 3 12 c corn bread crumbs
- 3 12 c crumbled biscuits
- 14 c butter
- 3 Tbsp minced onion
- 1 c chopped celery
- 2 tsp salt
- 12 tsp pepper
- 12 tsp savory
- 2 to 3 tsp sage
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 12 c milk
- 2 c hot chicken broth or more if needed
Directions
- Mix bread and biscuits in a large pan or bowl
- Melt butter and lightly saute onion and celery
- Add to crumb mixture
- Add remaining ingredients and mix well
- Bake in well-greased shallow pans in a 400 oven for 15 to 25 minutes
