Corn Chowder

Ingredients

  • 4 strips bacon
  • 1 c chopped onions
  • 12 c chopped celery
  • 1 12 c diced potatoes
  • 2 c water
  • 1 tsp granulated chicken bouillon
  • 14 c flour
  • 2 c milk
  • 1 c light cream
  • 1 16 oz pkg corn
  • 8 oz cubed American cheese
  • pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Cook bacon until crisp in a
  2. large pot or kettle
  3. Remove Saute onions celery and potatoes
  4. Add water and seasonings Simmer until potatoes are tender
  5. Combine flour with milk
  6. Add to kettle and cook until thickened
  7. Add corn cream cheese and bacon
  8. Stir very frequently
  9. Serve when cheese is melted and soup
  10. is hot
