Corn Chowder
Ingredients
- 4 strips bacon
- 1 c chopped onions
- 12 c chopped celery
- 1 12 c diced potatoes
- 2 c water
- 1 tsp granulated chicken bouillon
- 14 c flour
- 2 c milk
- 1 c light cream
- 1 16 oz pkg corn
- 8 oz cubed American cheese
- pepper to taste
Directions
- Cook bacon until crisp in a
- large pot or kettle
- Remove Saute onions celery and potatoes
- Add water and seasonings Simmer until potatoes are tender
- Combine flour with milk
- Add to kettle and cook until thickened
- Add corn cream cheese and bacon
- Stir very frequently
- Serve when cheese is melted and soup
- is hot
