Cornbread
Ingredients
- 34 c corn meal
- 1 c flour
- 13 c sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 34 tsp salt
- 1 c milk
- 1 egg well beaten
- 2 Tbsp melted shortening
Directions
- Mix and sift together first 5 ingredients
- Add milk egg and shortening
- Bake in shallow buttered 8 x 8-inch pan at 425 for 20 minutes
- Can bake in muffin pan if desired
