Cornmeal Drop Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 13 c all-purpose flour
- 13 c yellow cornmeal
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 12 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 c plus 2 Tbsp buttermilk
- 2 Tbsp yogurt
- 1 egg beaten
- vegetable cooking spray
Directions
- Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl
- Combine milk oil and egg add to dry ingredients stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened
- Drop batter by heaping tablespoonfuls onto a baking sheet coated with cooking spray
- Bake at 400 for 12 minutes or until lightly browned
- Cool on a wire rack Yields 1 dozen biscuits
