Cornmeal Waffles
Ingredients
- 1 c sifted cake flour
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 2 eggs separated
- 34 c cornmeal
- 1 12 c buttermilk
- 5 Tbsp butter melted and cooled
Directions
- Sift flour sugar baking powder and salt stir in cornmeal and set aside
- Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon-colored Beat in buttermilk and melted butter
- Add to dry ingredients and stir just until blended
