Cottage Pudding

Ingredients
- 1 34 c flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 14 c butter
- 34 c sugar
- 1 large egg
- 34 c milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Combine flour baking soda and salt in mixing bowl
- Combine shortening sugar egg milk and vanilla
- Add to flour mixture Beat until smooth
- Pour into greased and floured 9-inch square pan
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350
- Cut into 3-inch squares and serve warm with hot vanilla sauce
