Country-Fried Steak And Cream Gravy

Ingredients

  • round steak
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic salt
  • flour
  • 2 c milk
  • bacon grease

Directions

  1. Pound steak to 14-inch cut into serving-size pieces Sprinkle with seasonings
  2. Dredge in flour dip in milk
  3. Dredge in flour again
  4. Brown coated steaks in hot oil
  5. Remove and drain
  6. Reserve 3 tablespoons pan drippings
  7. Add 14 cup flour to drippings
  8. Cook over medium heat until bubbly stirring constantly
  9. Stir in 12 teaspoon salt and 14 teaspoon pepper Add 2 cups milk slowly cook until thick stirring constantly Add steak to gravy cover reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes Remove cover and cook an additional 5 minutes
