Country-Style Barbecued Ribs
Ingredients
- 4 lbs pork country-style ribs
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 14 cup cooking oil
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 12 cup water
- 14 cup packed brown sugar
- 14 cup lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp prepared mustard
- 1 tsp celery salt
- 14 tsp black pepper
Directions
- In large pot cover ribs with water and bring to boil
- Cover and simmer for 45-60 minutes or until tender
- Drain
- Cook onion in hot oil until tender and stir in garlic
- Stir in remaining ingredients except ribs and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes stirring once or twice
- Grill ribs over low coals about 45 minutes or until done turning every 15 minutes and brushing with sauce
- Serves 6
