Country Bread Pudding With Custard Sauce

Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp butter melted
- 1 loaf French or Italian bread
- 4 c whole milk
- 4 eggs
- 2 c sugar
- 2 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 c raisins
Directions
- Heat oven to 325
- Pour melted butter into approximately an 8-cup baking pan and refrigerate
- Place the bread sliced into a large bowl and pour the milk over them tossing to let the bread absorb most of the milk
- Tear sliced bread into pieces
