Country Chicken Soup8 Servings
Ingredients
- 2 to 3 onions chopped
- 3 tsp salt
- 1 tsp basil
- 12 tsp parsley flakes
- 2 to 2 12 lb whole fryers
- 14 c converted rice
- 4 stalks celery sliced
- 1 tsp pepper
- 12 tsp thyme
- 2 10 oz pkg frozen peas
- 5 12 c water
Directions
- Place all ingredients except rice in slow cooker in order listed
- Cover cook for 1 hour on high then on low for 8 to 9 hours
- One hour before serving remove chicken and cook slightly Remove meat from bones return meat to slow cooker
- Add rice cover and cook for 1 hour on high
