Country Ham Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg seasoned stuffing cubes
  • 1 12 c cubed fully cooked ham
  • 12 c butter or margarine
  • 3 c chopped onion
  • 2 c chopped celery
  • 1 12 tsp rubbed sage
  • 1 12 tsp dried thyme
  • 12 tsp pepper
  • 1 to 1 12 c chicken broth

Directions

  1. Place stuffing into a large bowl set aside
  2. In a large skillet cook ham in butter for 5 to 10 minutes or until edges are crisp
  3. Remove with a slotted spoon and place over stuffing
  4. In the same skillet saute the onion celery sage thyme and pepper until vegetables are tender
  5. Toss with bread and ham
  6. Stir in enough broth to moisten
  7. Bake in a covered baking dish at 325 for 70 minutes uncover for the last 10 minutes or stuff a turkey 12 to 14 pound
  8. Very good stuffing even my Dad likes this
