Cranberry Pear Crisp

Ingredients

  • 1 12 oz pkg cranberries
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 14 c packed brown sugar
  • 34 c regular oats
  • 34 c chopped walnuts
  • 2 large unpeeled pears cored and sliced thin
  • 14 c flour divided
  • 14 c margarine

Directions

  1. In lightly greased 1 12-quart shallow baking dish thoroughly mix cranberries pears granulated sugar cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of flour set aside
  2. In a medium bowl mix remaining 3 tablespoons flour with the brown sugar
  3. With a pastry blender cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
  4. Stir in oats and nuts sprinkle evenly over fruit mixture
  5. Bake in 375 oven for 40 minutes
  6. Let stand at least 10 minutes before serving
  7. Serve plain or with milk
  8. Serves eight
  9. Per serving without milk
