Cream Cheese Peanut Bars1993 National Peanut Festival Grand Prize Winning Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 2 layer Betty Crocker yellow butter cake mix pudding added
- 12 c melted margarine
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 box confectioners sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 2 eggs beaten
- 12 c creamy peanut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 c finely chopped peanuts dry roasted
Directions
- Combine cake mix margarine and 1 egg
- Mix well
- Press into a buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish
- Combine confectioners sugar cream cheese 2 eggs 12 cup creamy peanut butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Mix well
- Pour over cake and top with peanuts
- Bake at 300 for 45 to 50 minutes or until layer is done
- Cool for approximately 1 hour and cut into bars
- Yield 15 bars
