Cream Cheese Peanut Bars1993 National Peanut Festival Grand Prize Winning Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 2 layer Betty Crocker yellow butter cake mix pudding added
  • 12 c melted margarine
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 12 c creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 c finely chopped peanuts dry roasted

Directions

  1. Combine cake mix margarine and 1 egg
  2. Mix well
  3. Press into a buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish
  4. Combine confectioners sugar cream cheese 2 eggs 12 cup creamy peanut butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla
  5. Mix well
  6. Pour over cake and top with peanuts
  7. Bake at 300 for 45 to 50 minutes or until layer is done
  8. Cool for approximately 1 hour and cut into bars
  9. Yield 15 bars
