Cream Of Vegetable Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg frozen vegetables
  • 3 Tbsp butter or bacon fat
  • 14 c chopped celery leaves
  • 1 c water
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1 qt milk
  • 1 12 tsp salt or to suit taste
  • dash of black pepper

Directions

  1. Melt butter in saucepan and stir in vegetables and celery leaves
  2. Add water
  3. Cover and simmer 10 minutes stirring occasionally
