Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp shortening
  • 12 c flour
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 12 c water
  • 2 eggs

Directions

  1. Combine water shortening and salt
  2. Bring to boil
  3. Reduce to low and add flour beat until smooth and ball clings
  4. Remove from heat
  5. Beat in eggs one at a time
  6. Beat until smooth
  7. Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased baking sheet
  8. Bake at 375 for 40 minutes or golden brown and almost dry
  9. Makes 6 to 8
