Creamed Cabbage

Creamed Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 small head cabbage
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 4 Tbsp flour
  • 2 c milk
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 12 c bread crumbs
  • 4 Tbsp butter

Directions

  1. Chop cabbage boil in salted water until tender
  2. Drain
  3. Melt 6 tablespoons butter
  4. Add flour stir and add milk
  5. Cook until sauce thickens
  6. Layer cabbage in baking dish with sauce
  7. Repeat layers
  8. Cover with bread crumbs which have been mixed with 4 tablespoons butter
  9. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes
