Creamed Corn

Ingredients

  • 6 medium ears fresh corn
  • 14 c butter or margarine
  • 14 c water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 12 c half and half
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 12 tsp pepper

Directions

  1. Cut corn off cob
  2. Place butter in 2-quart casserole and microwave at High for 1 minute or until melted
  3. Stir in corn water and sugar
  4. Cover with heavy-duty wrap
  5. Microwave at High 3 minutes
  6. Stir well and give dish half turn
  7. Cover and microwave at High 5 to 7 minutes or until corn is done
  8. Combine remaining ingredients and beat with wire whisk until cornstarch is dissolved Add to corn and mix well
