Creamed Corn
Ingredients
- 6 medium ears fresh corn
- 14 c butter or margarine
- 14 c water
- 1 tsp sugar
- 12 c half and half
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 tsp pepper
Directions
- Cut corn off cob
- Place butter in 2-quart casserole and microwave at High for 1 minute or until melted
- Stir in corn water and sugar
- Cover with heavy-duty wrap
- Microwave at High 3 minutes
- Stir well and give dish half turn
- Cover and microwave at High 5 to 7 minutes or until corn is done
- Combine remaining ingredients and beat with wire whisk until cornstarch is dissolved Add to corn and mix well
