In a saucepan melt butter over medium heat Stir in flour until smooth add onions Gradually stir in milk Bring to a boil cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened Reduce heat Stir in salmon Salt and pepper if desired Cook for 10-12 minutes or until heated through Serve over toast Yield 6 servings
