Crescent Rolls
Ingredients
- 2 pkg yeast
- 12 c sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 to 7 c flour
- 3 eggs slightly beaten
- 1 c melted butter
Directions
- Dissolve yeast in 1 cup water 105 to 115
- Add sugar salt and 1 12 cups flour stirring well
- Add eggs butter and remaining flour
- Knead until smooth and elastic approximately 10 minutes
- Place dough in greased bowl turning to coat
- Cover and let rise in warm place about 1 hour until double in size
- Punch down divide into 4 equal parts
- Roll each part into 14-inch thick circle cut into 8 wedges
- Roll up for crescent starting at wide end
- Place on baking sheet cover and let rise 45 minutes until double in size
- Bake at 400 for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden
- Makes 32 rolls
