Crescent Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg yeast
  • 12 c sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 to 7 c flour
  • 3 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 c melted butter

Directions

  1. Dissolve yeast in 1 cup water 105 to 115
  2. Add sugar salt and 1 12 cups flour stirring well
  3. Add eggs butter and remaining flour
  4. Knead until smooth and elastic approximately 10 minutes
  5. Place dough in greased bowl turning to coat
  6. Cover and let rise in warm place about 1 hour until double in size
  7. Punch down divide into 4 equal parts
  8. Roll each part into 14-inch thick circle cut into 8 wedges
  9. Roll up for crescent starting at wide end
  10. Place on baking sheet cover and let rise 45 minutes until double in size
  11. Bake at 400 for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden
  12. Makes 32 rolls
