Crisp Coated Chicken

Ingredients
- 3 lb frying chicken cut in serving pieces
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 c flour
- 1 12 tsp salt
- 18 tsp pepper
Directions
- Dip pieces of chicken in buttermilk and drain
- Combine flour salt and pepper in paper bag
- Place one piece of chicken at a time in bag and shake well to coat evenly with flour
- Fry chicken in deep hot shortening until chicken is brown and crisp 10 to 12 minutes
